Pump-injector cylinder 6: short circuit

Pump-injector cylinder 6: short circuit

Mercedes-BenzMR 24Cfuelunknown

Что означает ошибка

This DTC indicates Pump-injector cylinder 6: short circuit. It belongs to the fuel system/injection group and is classified as general fault condition. Reference: code 5528.

Вероятные причины

  • Low fuel supply pressure or restriction Injector leakage or incorrect return flow Rail pressure sensor/regulator fault Air in fuel system or clogged filters Wiring or connector fault in fuel control circuit OEM-specific fault logic or monitored condition Related wiring/component/module issue Confirm with freeze-frame and live data

Что проверить сначала

  • Confirm whether the DTC is active or stored and record freeze-frame data. Clear the DTC and repeat the operating conditions that triggered it. Inspect the related connector, pins and harness for damage, corrosion, moisture or poor pin tension. Compare the related live-data value with the expected value and with related sensors. Check fuel supply pressure, filters and return flow where applicable. Compare commanded and actual rail pressure or injection values.

Ведомая диагностика

  1. Read all active and stored DTCs, freeze-frame data and related live-data parameters. Clear the fault memory and reproduce the complaint under the recorded operating conditions. Visually inspect the component, connector and harness
  2. repair obvious damage before deeper testing. Measure power supply, ground and signal/reference voltage under load where applicable. Compare commanded versus actual values and perform actuator/service tests with OEM-level diagnostics. If wiring, power supply and related components test good but the DTC returns, follow the OEM pinpoint test for module/component replacement or software update.

Сервисное примечание

Use OEM service information and wiring diagrams for the exact model, ECU variant and software level. After repair, clear DTCs, perform required adaptations/resets and confirm the fault does not return during a road or service test.
