Engine brake - solenoid 1 - short to ground

Engine brake - solenoid 1 - short to ground

FordEMSabs_ebs_brakesunknown

Что означает ошибка

This DTC indicates Engine brake - solenoid 1 - short to ground. It belongs to the ABS/EBS brake system group and is classified as abnormal rate of change in the measured signal. Reference: code P007900, SPN 206, FMI 10.

Вероятные причины

  • Wheel speed sensor or tone ring fault Sensor air gap or mechanical damage EBS/ABS wiring or connector issue Power supply or ground problem Brake modulator/valve or control unit fault Signal changes too quickly or implausibly Intermittent wiring/contact issue Mechanical event causing unstable reading

Что проверить сначала

  • Confirm whether the DTC is active or stored and record freeze-frame data. Clear the DTC and repeat the operating conditions that triggered it. Inspect the related connector, pins and harness for damage, corrosion, moisture or poor pin tension. Compare the related live-data value with the expected value and with related sensors. Inspect wheel speed sensor installation, air gap and tone ring condition. Check ABS/EBS power supply, ground and modulator wiring.

Ведомая диагностика

  1. Read all active and stored DTCs, freeze-frame data and related live-data parameters. Clear the fault memory and reproduce the complaint under the recorded operating conditions. Visually inspect the component, connector and harness
  2. repair obvious damage before deeper testing. Measure power supply, ground and signal/reference voltage under load where applicable. Compare commanded versus actual values and perform actuator/service tests with OEM-level diagnostics. If wiring, power supply and related components test good but the DTC returns, follow the OEM pinpoint test for module/component replacement or software update.

Сервисное примечание

Use OEM service information and wiring diagrams for the exact model, ECU variant and software level. After repair, clear DTCs, perform required adaptations/resets and confirm the fault does not return during a road or service test.
